We care a lot about how we look, but mostly ignore the most the important and the most delicate part on the face… undereye. The skin under eyes always varies from skin on the cheeks or the other parts of the face. Undereye areas are always dry as we do not have oil glands there, hence a lot of moisturization is required for under eyes. As i am some….20ish…and my exposure to laptops and pc is high, skin under the eyes sags, becomes puffy and dark, wrinkles and crows feet start to become more prominent. So, i decide to invest in a not so expensive but, organic under eye cream. So today’s review is about the VLCC Almond Under Eye Cream.
This unique light formulation with the goodness of almond and wheatgerm, nourishes and moisturizes the under eye area, helps reduce dark circles and puffiness, firms and tones skin. The natural active ingredients in this cream help in reducing signs of fatigue n stress.
Price: Rs 195
Chamomile Extract, Wheatgerm Oil, Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Vitamin E, Dimethicone, D-panthenol.
My Take on the Product
Packaging : The Vlcc under eye cream comes in a small pet jar which is really small and compact to carry around. The eye cream needs to be gently massaged in the eye contour area with your ring finger. Suits all skin types.
Texture: The under eye cream is thick in consistency and slightly creamy in consistency. Although it is thick it blends really well under the eyes without making them look oily or patchy. I sometimes feel that the eye cream has slightly sheer due to the almond oil concentrate in it
Fragrance: It has a nice soft fresh fragrance.
Effects: The cream claims to reduce puffiness, dark circles, wrinkles, fine lines and moisturize the under eye area. Since this was my first experience with an under eye cream, and my main concern was the puffiness and dark circles. The cream works slowly on the skin, after using it for a month i noticed that puffiness and dark circles has reduced. The cream does not work on fine lines, wrinkles or crows feet. Since i was not very regular at applying the cream, effects would have varied. I use to apply the cream at night once before sleeping, the next morning my eyes would look fresh, awakened and moisturized.
The eye cream is specifically meant to deal with puffiness, i guess the product can be easily skipped.
