This year, I have decided to take utmost care of my hair and skin, so you will get to see a lot reviews on hair and skin care. While doing some home shopping, my mum received a sachet of Garnier oil in cream. So I took a chance and tried it out. To my surprise, it has really done some good to my hair and that’s why I decided to buy a full-size product. To know the review.

My take on the product

Packaging: The Garnier Fructis oil-in-cream come in a yellow colour tube with a flip open cap. The oil in cream comes in two sizes; 100 gms for 60Rs and 200gms for 100 Rs. It’s is affordable and easily available online. The packaging is travel-friendly unless the flip open cap is not defective.

Here is the link.

Texture: The Garnier oil in cream is a thick cream with a light consistency. It spreads very easily on the hair and scalp. It gets absorbed very quickly, leaving the hair feeling soft without making it greasy or oily.  It does not feel sticky or thick like a hair oil.

Fragrance: It has an amazing fruity floral fragrance that lingers for quite some time. To be honest I got  it only for the fragrance.

How to use: The Garnier oil in cream can be used in four ways

Hair oil: Massage the Garnier oil in cream to your hair and scalp, keep it as long as you want and the wash it with your shampoo and conditioner.

After hair wash as a leave in conditioner: The oil in cream can be used a leave in conditioner, after you wash your hair or even on towel dried hair  to overcome frizz and dryness.

Overnight: The oil in cream can also be used as an overnight hair treatment.

Does it live up to the claims

A replacement for hair oil: No, I don’t think so it’s a replacement for hair oil. It does not work on dandruff or provide any nourishment to the scalp .

Infused with coconut, olive and almond oil extracts, this cream provides nourishment to your hair: Yes provides good nourishment and is meant for dry hair. But it’s effect is not long lasting. It works up to an extent to reduce hair fall.

Does it have chemicals: Yes it does have little chemicals apart from the oil. However, they do not really harm the hair

I use the Garnier oil in cream as a conditioner after shampoo and also as a leave conditioner after towel drying my hair. My hair texture has improved a little, it has become softer, manageable and shiny. Since Garnier products are natural, they take some time to build up and show their effect on hair.

Rating 3/5

Final Recommendation

The Garnier oil in cream is affordable and does no harm or damage hair. If you are looking for a pocket-friendly hair treatment, then this a great buy.
