GUEST REVIEW BY SREEPARNA GANGULY
Foundation is the most important makeup item in my opinion as all other products like blushes, bronzers cling to it. If the base goes incorrect the entire look fails badly. Today I will share my experience with Lakme Invisible Finish Foundation with SPF-8. I have been using this low coverage foundation instead of the BB cream for 7 months now and am liking it so far. To know more about it read on.
Use The Invisible Finish Foundation by Lakme to have ‘picture-perfect skin’. The company says, ‘this ultra-light, water-based foundation with an invisible finish is ideal for that natural exuberance’. SPF 8 is also added to this foundation to protect the skin from harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. This sun protection factor also prevents skin darkening. Skin looks youthful and freshened up with this product.

How to Use: Twist-open the bottle and take some foundation out into the palm with the spatula applicator provided with it. Dot it all over the face and neck with fingers and blend. After that take a wet beauty blender or makeup sponge and blend it into the skin with a dabbing motion. Finally set with any compact or loose powder.
MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT
Packaging/Availability: This Lakme foundation comes in a translucent glass bottle with a twist-open maroon plastic cap. The plastic cap has a plastic spatula attached to it. This spatula helps to take out the desired amount of product from the bottle. I find this very useful as it prevents wastage of product. The front side of the packaging contains the company name and the product name whereas the back side contains some information regarding the product. Overall the packaging is cute, handy. The only con here is its glass packaging that makes it easily breakable. This product is easily available in all the leading beauty stores and online shopping websites too.
Shade: The shade range is awesome for this product. There are total six shades in the collection. Some of which are warm toned and some are cool toned. So, everyone is likely to find a perfect shade. All the shades are given numbers like 01, 02 etc. I am in the shade 01 which is the lightest shade of this range. The shade matches my skin tone (NC-30 to 35 from MAC) very well.
Texture: The Lakme foundation is creamy yet lightweight. Due to the runny texture, I can feel nothing on my skin after blending.
Fragrance: Unlike most Lakme products this particular foundation smells great. The fragrance is citrusy. The smell lingers for some 15-20 minutes and then fades into a slight hint.
Suitability: The Lakme foundation suits best on combination to dry skin. Extremely oily skinned ones can try it but they would need a good compact or loose powder to set it.
Effectiveness: The Lakme foundation keeps its promise by providing even toned flawless finish. It blends like dream into my face and hides my mild acne scars. It has never made my face looking cakey like some other budget foundations. Although the coverage of this foundation is low; it is still better than most of the BB creams. The sun protection factor adds some extra benefits to this decent product. Overall I find it to be an everyday foundation that can be easily used in daytime also.
I recommend this foundation to anyone who wants a budget-friendly and lightweight foundation that gives a dewy finish. As blending is very easy with this product; beginners would like it very much.
