I think that even if you aren’t a makeup lover or somebody who just likes to look fresh and have an even skin colour, a compact is your best friend. Just swirl your brush or sponge, apply it on your face and you are done. I personally feel that a compact comes very handy for any college going girl or working women. My Take on the Product
Packaging and Use: The L’Oreal Paris Mat Magique All in One Matte Transforming Powder comes in a compact case with a transparent cover and has a round makeup sponge for application.
The compact has two level, the first one has the compact and the second level has mirror and place to keep the sponge.
It’s pretty inconvenient, to take the product, turn to level two and use the mirror. It’s very easy to apply the compact either use can use this compact to just brighten and even out complexion daily or on your foundation for more coverage.
I am really sorry for the pathetic condition of the sponge.
Shades: The compact comes in 5 different shades that suit almost all fair to olive Indian Skin tones.
G1-Vanilla Ivory- Pale to fair complexion (The shade i purchased)
G2-Golden Ivory- Pale to fair with yellow tones
N2- Nude Vanilla- Fair to light skin tone
N6-Nude Ivory- Medium to light skin tone
N7-Golden Amber- deeper to olive skin tones
Texture: I love the texture of this powder, it’s so soft and creamy and has a satin finish, glides beautifully on my skin. You can also use this as a mousse foundation, just spray a little water on the sponge and dab it on the compact and apply it on your face. It does not dry up skin, just gives nice balanced looking skin.
Fragrance: It has a fresh floral fragrance, not very overpowering
Effects: To begin with, the compact in all senses is an ” All in one transforming powder. It mattifies oily skin for almost 5to 6hrs, depending upon the humidity outdoors. It has Spf 34, so far, it work well without a sunscreen too. I apply it under my eyes to give them a soft yet brightening effect and also to set my concealer. It very seamlessly covers mild scars and blemishes too.
Coming to my face, I have had a terrible breakout of whiteheads after using this powder along with the sponge. The sponge by defaults needs cleaning every time which is a hassle. So, I decided to use this powder with a brush, after which my skin felt a little better. Since I need a mild coverage I use a powder brush than the sponge applicator it comes with.
It’s definitely a must have in your vanity, with the price and claims it lives up to, it’s definitely worth a buy.
