GUEST REVIEW BY SREEPARNA GANGULY
Today I will be reviewing a long time favourite facial Moisturiser from VLCC, the Lavang Moisturiser. I discovered it 3-4 years ago on a visit to a local beauty supplies store. As I asked for a decent face Moisturiser for my oily to combination skin, the SA swatched this to my hand. It felt and smelt so nice that I did not have any second thought before buying it. Since then I have already made a number of repurchases and will be making continuous repurchases no doubt. So, without further ado, let’s jump to the review to find out why I like it so much.
The Lavang Moisturiser from VLCC contains the goodness of Clove and the extracts of Neem and Euphorbia. Lavang is known for its antiseptic, anti-bacterial and healing properties. The Neem and other ingredients protect the skin from environmental damages.

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT
Packaging/Availability: Like I said before, this product has got a makeover in terms of packaging. Previously, it was sold in a yellow ochre bottle. Now it comes in a milky white bottle with eye soothing label graphics depicting the main ingredient, Cloves. The shape of the bottle is same as before. The shape is ergonomic that ensures an easy grip. The flip-top cap has a hole to dispense the product but you can screw open the cap too. It really helps when you have taken out more product than you need. The Moisturiser bottle is secured inside a white cardboard box. Both the bottle and the outer packaging mention all the useful information regarding the product. This product is easily available online with alluring discounts. You will be able to find it offline in all the VLCC centre and VLCC counters of beauty stores.
Colour: The Moisturiser is milky white in colour.
Texture: The texture is smooth, thin and creamy but it gets absorbed into the skin fast and gives matte finish if used in proper quantity. It also gives a cooling sensation.
Fragrance: The fragrance is no doubt the best part of this face Moisturiser in my opinion. It has very refreshing mint kind of smell. The smell does not overpower my senses, it just leaves behind a mild hint that I can sniff for 4-5 hours.
Suitability: It works best on normal to oily skin. People who have dry skin may try it in summer taking a bit more product than usual. Sensitive skinned people should skip it as its formula may feel strong.
Effectiveness: I have always seen myself getting attracted to skin care products that smell nice. This Moisturiser is not an exception too. Whenever I need to refresh myself from a long tiring day, I cleanse my face and apply a pea size product to my face and I am sorted. Sometimes I get bored of it, I try other Moisturisers but I keep coming back to it. Performance wise it is a nice skin nourisher that does its job of moisturizing my skin perfectly. In hot and humid summer days it keeps my face mattified for 2 hours maximum, so I tend to reduce the quantity of the product per application. It works perfect for winters. It does not aggravate my existing zits but does nothing to reduce them also.
FINAL RECOMMENDATION: I would recommend this Moisturiser to someone with normal to oily skin who wants a pocket friendly soothing and cooling Moisturiser to nourish his/her skin. It’s a treat for mint fragrance lovers.
